Work Now Staffing is looking to hire Junior Mechanic Technicians for our York, PA client.
Pay: $19.00 - $22.50 per hour
Shifts: 7:00pm - 7:00am, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and rotating Saturdays
Job Description :
The Jr. Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing basic troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on mail processing equipment and conveyor systems. This is an entry-level technical position ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude who is eager to grow their skills in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime
Troubleshoot and repair Apex machines, strapper machines, and conveyor systems
Replace belts and diagnose sensor issues versus mechanical problems
Identify and resolve basic mechanical and electrical issues to support production flow
Assist with maintaining equipment in compliance with safety standards and operational procedures
Collaborate with the maintenance team and production staff to support equipment uptime
Complete maintenance logs and documentation accurately
Qualifications
Previous maintenance or mechanical experience preferred (entry-level candidates with strong aptitude will be considered)
Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform hands-on repairs
Mechanically inclined with basic understanding of conveyors and production equipment
Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Basic understanding of tools, sensors, and machine components
