Job Description Job Description The Accountant leads the daily financial reporting function for MOI Foods USA reporting in directly to the headquarters in Singapore. This role also provides operational and administrative support for the region by working closely with the Operations Manager in Kennesaw, Georgia. The Accountant will ensure smooth workflow across accounting and internal reporting functions. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting and operations, outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Financial & Accounting (Primary) 1. Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing · Prepare and submit monthly financial report timely, with highlights on unusual variances. · Manage the month-end closing process, including the preparation and posting of journal entries, audit schedules, and intercompany transactions. · Handle end-to-end bookkeeping for accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), inventory and general ledger (GL). · Conduct inventory reconciliation, ensuring accuracy between system records and warehouse reports. · Perform AP reconciliations to verify accuracy between system records and vendor statements. 2. Cash Flow Management · Prepare monthly cash flow projections and monitor daily bank balance to ensure adequate liquidity for operation’s needs. · Highlight potential cash flow risks and propose appropriate solutions. 3. Receivables & Payables Management · Issue customer invoices, follow up on outstanding receivables and promptly notify on overdue invoices > 50 days for trade credit insurance (TCI) purpose. · Review and monitor payment list to ensure timely and accurate disbursement. 4. Audit & Tax · Liaise with external auditors and tax agents to ensure compliance with statutory audit and tax requirements. · Participate in stock counts as required. 5. Internal Controls & Process Improvements · Strengthen internal controls by reviewing and improving finance processes for efficiency, accuracy and compliance. · Ensure proper documentation, filing, and bookkeeping aligned with audit and regulatory requirements. · Contribute to ERP system migration and setup, actively support automation and workflow improvements wherever feasible. 6. Ad-hoc task as required by management. Operational and Administrative Support Assist the Operations Manager as needed in the coordination of daily operational activities including: 1. Providing customer service support 2. Coordinating import processing, including documentation reviews, communication with freight forwarders, customs clearance updates, and tracking incoming shipments. 3. Supporting warehouse logistics 4. Determining pricing and communicating between HQ and customers. 5. Communicating with suppliers, customers, logistics partners, and internal departments. 6. Maintaining accurate records related to imports, shipping documents, warehouse logs, and operational reports. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required. - Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA or any equivalent) is desired, but not a must. - 5-8 years of experience in finance or accounting. - Solid understanding of financial regulation and compliance requirements. - Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. - Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset. - Proficiency in MS Suite and MRP systems are highly desired. - Ability to work on-site in Kennesaw, GA.
