Ambulatory Informatics Specialist

Works closely with practice informatics, leadership, teammates, caregivers, and providers to ensure successful user orientation, standardized processes/workflows, and clinical application adoption. Assists in developing, training, and supporting healthcare applications, solutions, and business processes to meet organizational needs. Acts as a liaison between application support, clinical operations, informatics, and system users. Ensures effective system operations by monitoring workflows, providing advanced user support, ongoing education, and communication.

Job Duties:

• Assist in managing the Electronic Health Record for the organization.
• Manage data sharing between medical operations, Care Coordination, Information Services, and Finance.
• Collaborate with Population Health staff to identify opportunities to maximize Pay for Performance, avoid penalties, and report trends.
• Create and lead training workshops for employees.
• Guide staff in support of Meaningful Use and Physician Quality Reporting System.
• Provide strategic advice for improvements.
• Coach and mentor employees through ongoing EHR education.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience with MU, PQRS, MIPS, TCM, PCMH, CPC+ initiative, and VBP programs.
• Knowledge of ACO and its functions.
• Three years of healthcare experience in quality improvement, project management, database management, or data analysis.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (Athena preferred).
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and spreadsheets.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance, and healthcare practices.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Experience with ICD/CPT coding.
• Associates or Bachelors in Business, Health Administration, or related field preferred.

Salary Range: $22.71 - $30.60 (Based on Experience)
