Assistant Farm Manager / Equipment Operator (6273)

Assistant farm manager / Equipment operator position available on a family farm and ranch in North Central Montana. Our operation raises no till dryland crops of wheat, pulses, barley and hay. The operation also raises commercial beef cattle and bred heifers with a herd of approximately 700 cows. This position will primarily be focused on the grain side of the business. Equipment is well kept and clean.

Housing will be provided and a competitive salary and benefit package will be provided based on experience of candidate.

We have a passion for agriculture and are seeking a candidate that will also bring that level of passion and a willingness to learn and excel individually and as a team.

Training will be provided on the job as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Operating semi-trucks hauling grain, hay and cattle (CDL a bonus)
Operating gps guided tractors, swathers and combines
Maintenance and light mechanical skills and welding repairs
Basic knowledge of working cattle preferred

QUALIFICATIONS
Self motivated individual with a passion for agriculture
Knowledge of GPS and computer controlled tractors
Experience operating trucks, combines, drills and swathers
Ability to service and lube equipment
Basic knowledge of working cattle preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
General farm experience operating large scale equipment required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED
