Job Description

Position Summary:

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring top-tier food quality, guest service, and team performance. The AGM plays a critical role in developing team members, maintaining compliance, and driving profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the General Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations and leadership.
• Assist with recruiting, training, and developing hourly team members and shift leaders.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and brand standards.
• Monitor daily sales, labor, and inventory to achieve financial targets.
• Enforce labor scheduling policies (minimum 4 staff per shift, labor cost targets).
• Lead by example in delivering outstanding guest service and resolving guest concerns.
• Supervise opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting.
• Conduct regular line checks and quality audits.
• Assist with new employee onboarding and ongoing training initiatives.
• Support execution of local marketing and community engagement activities.
• Step in as acting GM in the General Manager’s absence.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of restaurant management experience (QSR or fast casual preferred).
• Proven leadership and team development skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Solid understanding of labor, food cost, and inventory controls.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• ServSafe certification (preferred).
