Bar Manager

Matt s is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Bar Manager to lead our bar program and support front-of-house operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced Tex-Mex environment and takes pride in high standards, great service, and team development.

Position Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of bar management experience
  

• Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  

• Willingness to work on the floor and lead by example
  
• Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management with supervising experience in a fast-paced environment
  
• Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary experience, and kitchen management skills
  
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Toast POS for efficient sales processing and cash handling
  
• Strong background in inventory control, food safety standards, and food handling procedures
  
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in staff training & development, interviewing, team management, and shift management
  
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally
  
• Experience working in casual dining or fine dining environments; hotel or catering experience is a plus
  
• Ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality service standards
  
• Valid management certification or assistant manager experience preferred; culinary or kitchen experience highly valued
  

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all bar inventory, ordering, and cost controls
  

• Create and maintain bar schedules
  

• Develop new cocktails, drink menus, and specials aligned with Matt s brand
  

• Oversee and manage the bar team and front-of-house staff
  

• Ensure exceptional guest service and smooth daily operations
  

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards at all times
  

• Uphold and enforce Matt s standards, policies, and procedures
  

• Collaborate with ownership/management to drive sales and team performance
