Bookkeeper | Wayland, MI

Salary Range: $44,000 - $64,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices for raw materials and finished goods.
• Perform daily bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Process payroll for manufacturing staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain the general ledger, post journal entries, and reconcile subsidiary ledgers.
• Track and reconcile inventory levels and production costs.
• Assist with month?end and year?end close procedures and prepare financial reports.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with financial analysis and reporting.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3?5 years of experience in full?cycle bookkeeping, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel for financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Familiarity with inventory accounting, job costing, and cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations specific to manufacturing.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills to manage complex financial records.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory valuation.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience supporting physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
