Job Summary: Each day more than 15 million pounds of cargo is flown on passenger aircraft in the US. All air cargo must all be made safe to protect the flying public, and you can be a part of that security force. GAT is seeking a highly motivated, security focused individual, in a remote or work from home (WFH) position to perform online, real time audits of cargo screening. This position would be advantageous to the medically retired, physically restricted or home bound potential candidate. Preference will be given to disabled veterans and first responders. Applicants need not be ambulatory.
Job Description: The Cargo Vision Agent provides real time CCTV monitoring of specific cargo screening activities and providing immediate feedback to our screening workforce to ensure the security and safety of the aviation cargo security network.
Responsible for monitoring live CCTV video feed of cargo screeners performing cargo screening activities required of cargo to be transported on passenger aircraft for compliance with all required procedures, the Cargo Vision Agent addresses concerns or screening discrepancies with local cargo facility staff and management and maintains communication with the security, safety and cargo teams within the organization..
Duties include (but are not limited to)
- continuous CCTV live surveillance of cargo security screeners via company provided equipment
- immediately addressing concerns or discrepancies via personal phone
- maintaining constant vigilance of several CCTV screens at one time, logging and maintaining records of screening activities
- Attend virtual Cargo Vision Agent bi-weekly team meetings, bi-weekly one on one meetings with GAT Corporate Security.
Requirements: - Must have the ability to multitask while maintaining a concentrated focus on CCTV monitoring activity.
- Must be able to provide a private and secure area away from distractions not limited to children and pets, and the ability to lock up company equipment..
- Must have a reliable and sufficiently strong WiFi or broadband signal within the designated, secure work area
- Previous military or law enforcement experience, two years minimum required with preference given to disabled veterans and first responders
- Must successfully complete all training requirements and maintain certification throughout employment
- Must have a High School diploma, GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age and physically capable of sitting for long periods of time without losing focus.
- Able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English
- Must clear an FBI fingerprint background check and a drug test
- A professional and positive image must be consistently displayed with business casual dress and a hygienic appearance.
Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit to perform duties of the job including but not limited to:
- sitting for long hours
- the ability to remain focused on CCTV monitors
- Excellent natural or correctable near vision for computer work
- The manual dexterity to use a computer keyboard and cell phone.
Specific Working Hours: While generally fixed, shifts may change in response to cargo loads. Occasional overtime may be required. Cargo Vision Agents generally are off or work greatly curtailed hours on all Federal holidays
Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations.
