*Certified Diabetes Educator/Registered Dietician*

Our client, Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital, an acute care community hospital located in Hollister, California, about an hour inland from Monterey, has retained us to identify a Registered Dietician with Certified Diabetes Educator/Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist certification (CDE/CDCES) who is looking for an exciting new opportunity.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* The Diabetes Educator is responsible for providing diabetes education and diabetes management techniques in an outpatient setting for patients and their families.
* Work with patients, one-on-one and in groups, to help them manage their diabetes through lifestyle changes, medication management, and other methods, while providing support and guidance to help patients understand and cope with the challenges of living with diabetes.
* Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop comprehensive care plans
* Stay up to date with the latest diabetes research and treatment options

*Qualifications:*

* Registered Dietician
* CDE/CDCES certification
* Recent experience working with patients with diabetes
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Knowledgeable about diabetes education resources and technology
