Bachelor’s degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Serving as an EL Resource Teacher in an elementary school setting, this contract position offers an opportunity to support students in grades 3-5 by providing specialized instructional assistance tailored to English learners. Located in Evanston, IL, this role involves working 32.5 hours per week across five days, focusing on fostering language development and academic success for a diverse student population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted support to English Learners in grades 3-5 through differentiated instruction and resource facilitation
• Collaborate with general education and ESL teachers to develop individualized educational plans
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet evolving needs
• Maintain detailed records of student caseload and communicate regularly with families and staff

Qualifications:

• Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL)
• ESL or Bilingual endorsement required
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in grades 3-5
• Familiarity with general education and ESL instructional methodologies, including resource support services
