Job DescriptionOur client, a very well-known global fitness brand, is currently seeking a freelance French Canadian Language Specialist with Dubbing and Translation experience to join their team.Please note, this is a remote role, starting off at about 20hrs/week for about a year, with some potential to expand based on performance and business need.Responsibilities:- Join a team of 4 to work along side some other contractors on localization efforts as the brand expands into Canada- Work on captioning and subtitling scripts, class descriptions etc for French Canadian translations and dubbing efforts- Provide QA support for all work, help pass along feedback to engineers - Review and edit dubbing: Critically listen to dubbed audio to identify and correct errors in pronunciation, intonation, pacing, and overall naturalness.- Synchronization and timing: Ensure accurate synchronization of the dubbed audio with the original video content, making necessary adjustments to timing and pacing- Linguistic accuracy and cultural nuances: Verify the linguistic accuracy of the dubbing script and audio, ensuring it accurately reflects the meaning and intent of the original dialogue while considering cultural nuances- Audio Quality Control: Ensure the technical quality of the dubbed audio, including levels, clarity, and consistency. Identify and address any audio artifacts or technical issuesRequirements:- Canadian French native speaker with advanced knowledge of grammar, syntax, idioms and slang- Fluent in written and spoken English- 3+ years Proven experience in audio editing, post-production, and/or studio or AI dubbing- Excellent ear for detail and a critical listening ability.- Strong understanding of Canadian French linguistics, translation principles and cultural adaptation.- Experience working with timecode and synchronization techniques.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.- A proactive and problem-solving attitude.- Passion for language, media, and technology, with a keen interest in the capabilities and limitations of voice AIIn this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.BenefitsCreative Circle's Freelance Employee benefits package includes eligibility for Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) medical plan, dental/vision/term life package, discount prescription program, critical illness, accident, tele-behavioral health, and 401(k) plan.
