SC Home Inspection Group is seeking an experienced independent home inspector to serve Upstate South Carolina. The inspector will own their business, set their preferred schedule, and obtain bonuses for reaching specific goals. SC Home Inspection Group handles scheduling and administrative work to allow the independent inspectors to maximize time on the job and minimize office work. Inspectors must be certified by the South Carolina Residential Builders Commission and follow the ASHI standards of practice. The job requires applicants to be certified as a home inspector or residential builder. Applicants should have an extensive construction background and/or completion of 500 fee paid inspections.

Compensation

• $100k OTE (On Target Earnings) of $100k assumes an average of 8 inspections a week over 45 weeks
• Income is based on the number of inspections completed (including ancillary inspection services)
• Bonuses paid based on specific income goals that are reached
• Increased compensation possible if also licensed as a commercial building inspector (licensed residential contractor in SC)

Duties/What we want you to do:

• Foster positive relationships with realtors and transaction coordinators
• Work alongside SC Home Inspection Group to gain traction in the home inspection market in upstate South Carolina
• Complete quality home inspection reports (use of Spectora inspection software is preferred)
• Inspection reports must be sent within 24 hours of the inspection
• Set your schedule for inspection availability
• Carry generally liability and E&O insurance as a 1099 contract employee
• Inspect residential Homes with ASHI Standards of Practice
• Experience with sewer scope inspections would be a added value, but not essential

Requirements:

• Certified by the South Carolina Residential Builders Commission
• Minimum 2 years experience as a licensed home inspector or residential contractor
• Reliable transportation
• All tools needed to complete a quality home inspection report
• Detail Oriented
• Skilled at verbal and written communication
• Professional, knowledgeable, and timely interaction with realtors and clients
• Ability to complete inspections of a home including but not limited to the roof, attic, and crawlspace.
• Professional appearance and ability to instill confidence when onsite for inspections
• Technology and computer skills to generate inspection reports and communicate by phone, text, and email.
• Self-driven individual with a positive attitude
