Overview

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a professional with 4-6 years of experience and TS/SCI Clearance to be our next ISSO, Staff supporting The US Space Force LAN Integration Team at Peterson Space Force Base, CO

Responsibilities

Provide technical and programmatic Information Assurance Services to internal and external customers in support of network and information security systems.
• Design, develop and implement security requirements within an organization's business processes.
• Prepare documentation from information obtained from customer using accepted guidelines such as DITSCAP (DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process).
• Prepare Security Test and Evaluation plans.
• Provide certification and accreditation support in the development of security and contingency plans and conducts complex risk and vulnerability assessments.
• Analyze policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations and provides recommendations for closing gaps.
• Develop and completes system security plans and contingency plans.
• Recommend system enhancements to improve security deficiencies.
• Develop, test and integrate computer and network security tools.
• Secure system configurations and installs security tools, scan systems to determine compliancy and report results and evaluate products and various aspects of system administration.
• Conducts security program audits and develop solutions to lessen identified risks.
• Develop strategies to comply with privacy, risk management, and e-authentication requirements.
• Provide information assurance support for the development and implementation of security architectures to meet new and evolving security requirements.
• Evaluate, develop and enhance security requirements, policy and tools.
• Aid in computer incident investigations.
• Perform vulnerability assessments including development of risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

* Active TS/SCI Clearance and be SAP eligible, JSIG Experience
* Associates Degree and 4 - 6 years of relevant experience.
* 3 - 5 years of experience - Prior in roles such as System, Network Administrator or ISSO
* DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security +, Security Plus CE)
* Practical experience using DoD security tools (ACAS, HBSS, SIEM), conducting vulnerability assessments, audits, incident response, and compliance with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and other regulations.

* Must be familiar with DoD policy as it applies to implementing and executing system and network administration.
* Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
* Experience solving technical problems quickly and identifying opportunities to automate repetitive processes
* Experience with NIST SP 800 series and DoDI/D 8500 series

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $67,800.00/Yr. - USD $113,200.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
