Position Summary :

The primary function is to lead all project planning and coordination within the company. They will ensure the cross functional teams are prepared with detailed plans, a clear understanding what each stakeholder is accountable for, and monitor timelines to keep projects on track to a smooth execution, while assuring adherence to established quality standards, maintaining a sanitary and safe work environment, creating a positive environment for employees, all while following company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. The General Manager is the backup for absences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage all new product commercialization activities within the business
  • Own and champion our new product development process by ensuring all stakeholders understand and adhere to the various stage gate deliverables
  • Liaison with new and existing customers on new product tests, production, and launches
  • Collaborate with the innovation and operations teams on trials and production schedules
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Warehousing to ensure materials are ordered and available
  • Set up and lead regular weekly project status meetings to ensure the team is clear on project priorities, outstanding needs, and assigned tasks
  • Coordinate and facilitate project-specific meetings (kick-offs, pre-trial coordination, post-launch recaps, etc.) with key stakeholders
  • Hold the internal team and external stakeholders accountable for meeting project deliverables and recaps
  • As required, serve as new product trial and production observer to capture any/all salient notes and learnings
  • Maintain communication with all departments regarding production times, product quality, equipment issues, etc., to ensure timely production, product quality, and order fulfillment
  • Any other tasks assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Meticulous planner and organizer
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable leading meetings and effectively coordinating with various departments and senior managers
  • Skilled and meticulous planner, able to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Good mathematical and number skills
  • Quick thinking and able to adjust during production runs, coverage needs, and other situations promptly when needed
  • Able to manage and direct people in a positive fashion and provide feedback or corrective action documentation as necessary
  • Display a positive demeanor and always conduct oneself in a professional manner
  • Desire to learn and comfortable tackling ambiguous problems
  • College degree and/or relevant work experience in project management desired
  • PMP Certificate desired
  • Familiarity with Asana or other Project Management Software is a plus

Physical Requirements:

Constant walking and standing, occasional lifting/stooping/bending. Must be able to reach above shoulders and below knees, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Environmental Conditions:

Inside the building, the normal temperature is between 70 – 90 degrees and ambient temperatures inside trucks. Occasionally, freezer temperatures of 10 degrees and cooler temperatures of 40 degrees – for limited periods.

The compensation range is $68,640 to $80,000. The final offer will be based on several factors. In addition, our compensation philosophy is to hire candidates near the midpoint of the range to allow for future compensation growth.
