Part-Time Night Shift Patient Services Associate/Bed Control (Call-Center experience required) - Brooklyn

Join the NYU Langone Health team as a Part?Time Night Shift Patient Services Associate/Bed Control. In this role you will manage bed availability and place patients in beds using the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, collaborating with staff across Emergency, Inpatient, Post?Anesthesia Care Units and procedural areas.

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Part?Time Night Shift Patient Services Associate/Bed Control in Brooklyn. You will manage bed placements, monitor bed planning, lead daily bed huddles, and communicate with key stakeholders to ensure safe patient flow.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform bed placements and related functions in a timely manner using the EHR and approved protocols.
• Evaluate bed availability and place patients at the requested level of care.
• Monitor bed status and communicate changes to the team throughout the day.
• Accurately complete electronic patient placement notifications and update information in the EHR.
• Prioritize bed placement in collaboration with key hospital teams.
• Lead the daily bed huddles and communicate resources and issues appropriately.
• Work directly with CTC RN Coordinator to ensure timely bed assignments for transfers.
• Stay current with departmental procedures, policies, and communications to ensure appropriate processes for final referral resolution.
• Exhibit excellent customer?relationship skills, including telephone and personal contact with all CTC key stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of call?center experience with excellent telephone manner and professional vocabulary.
• Strong problem?solving, multi?tasking, analytical/critical?thinking, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships.
• Strong communication skills in oral, written, and electronic formats.
• Calmness in stressful, fast?paced environments.
• Positive, enthusiastic, customer?service oriented personality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree.
• Knowledge of EHR systems.
