Job Description Job Description WZWLH, CPAs is seeking two experienced, detail-oriented and analytical accountants for our tax and audit department. Our positions are tax oriented, yet full-business based, permitting the successful candidates to experience the full breadth of the world of business. The positions will entail working across all aspects of a client’s business, from tax to financial accounting and consulting, including mergers and acquisitions. This enables us to develop all-around business skills and build very strong relationships with our clients, as we become intimately involved with all aspects of their business. Our client base is very diverse, ranging from various manufacturing businesses, to distribution, airline services, engineering, financial advisory, construction, energy, e-commerce, medical businesses, to television production companies. Essential Functions Prepare and review corporate, partnership, estate, trust and personal income tax returns. Conduct tax research and provide recommendations on tax-saving strategies Perform field work on financial statement audit and accounting engagements. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes, taking online classes, and reviewing professional publications. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, including special projects. Work independently, prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines. Communicate effectively within our firm, as well as with clients. Travel to client locations as necessary. Competencies Tax Preparation Analytical Thought Communications Proficiency GAAP Financial Reporting Financial Statement Auditing Relationship Building Other Duties Duties, responsibilities, and activities will vary, depending upon the needs of our clients. Qualifications Public Accounting: 2-3 years Tax and/or Audit: 2-3 years Degree: Bachelor Degree with Emphasis in Accounting License: CPA preferred US work authorization WZWLH also provides a friendly, team-oriented atmosphere, with company social events, along with a full benefits package. For a successful candidate who has not yet completed the CPA exam we will reimburse the costs of an agreed upon CPA review course, once the employee has successfully completed all sections of the exam.
