POSITION SUMMARY
The Telecom Analyst supports the company's telecom vendor management, billing review, and regulatory compliance activities. Working under the direction of senior team members, this role helps review and process invoices across more than a dozen telecom providers, tracks and reports any billing discrepancies such as charges for disconnected circuits, assists with weekly termination reviews, and files or follows up on billing disputes. The analyst also processes specialized industry invoices and maintains organized records of new vendor orders and contracts submitted by internal teams. In the regulatory and tax compliance area, this position provides administrative and data support to leadership and external tax vendors.
Responsibilities include helping gather information for federal and state filings, submitting required data such as FCC Form 477, monitoring regulatory updates, assisting with verification of vendor tax and surcharge accuracy, and supporting leadership during annual processes like 1099 preparation, tax escrow reviews, and audit requests. The analyst is also responsible for keeping internal systems updated with current circuit details, terms, and disconnect information. They collaborate with vendor support teams to troubleshoot billing issues and help identify system improvements based on database insights.
In addition, this role provides general operational assistance to leadership as needed. This is a detail-oriented support position ideal for someone who is organized, thorough, and able to manage recurring processes in a structured environment. The individual needs to be highly motivated, dependable, and have a desire to "take ownership" of their duties to help the Company grow and succeed. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic with an ambition to advance, the ability to learn and adapt, and a willingness to perform non-routine duties when needed. Two to five years of experience in Telecom / Business Analyst or a related area is desired.
