Job Description & RequirementsWe are seeking an experienced Travel Quality Nurse (LPN or RN) for a 27-week Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care (SNF/LTC) assignment in New Mexico . This specialized role focuses on Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) and is ideal for a nurse with strong experience in auditing, compliance, and clinical reporting . All candidates will be clinically interviewed , and interview availability must be submitted.
Assignment Details
Location: New Mexico
Contract Length: 27 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Shift: Day shift
Responsibilities
Conduct quality audits and performance improvement activities
Review nursing documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance
Perform medication audits , infection control audits , and wound care audits
Track quality indicators and prepare reports for leadership and compliance teams
Monitor adherence to state and federal regulations
Support survey readiness and quality improvement initiatives
Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams
Requirements
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license
Previous QAPI / quality auditing experience required
Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care experience required
Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and survey preparation
Experience with reporting, tracking, and documentation systems
Must meet all compliance and credentialing requirements
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
This travel assignment is ideal for nurses seeking a weekday-only schedule , a long-term contract , and a specialized role in quality and compliance within a SNF/LTC setting .
