Job Description Unarmed Security Guard – Position: 43048. The guard will support critical facilities and public venues, providing a visible deterrent, monitoring entry/exit, reporting incidents, and maintaining safety through physical presence and security checks. Responsibilities Maintain a high‑visibility presence to deter crime. Answer routine questions, direct visitors, and handle minor problems. Monitor entry and exit of personnel at client facilities. Report suspicious activities, emergencies, or accidents promptly to appropriate personnel or 911. Inspect facilities for security, noting door, window, roof, and electrical conditions. Inform relevant departments of damage, outages, or incidents. Maintain security logs, write incident reports, and notify client personnel as required. Qualifications Mentally alert with good judgment and the ability to follow instructions. Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English. Capable of monitoring electronic security systems. Strong communication skills for accurate report writing. Requirements Complete a physical examination within six months of assignment. Pass a pre‑employment drug screen (marijuana, cocaine, heroin, amphetamines, opiates, benzodiazepines). Finish required security and emergency procedures training. Obtain training in crowd control, hostile individual handling, and public relations. Maintain valid California driver’s license and First Aid/CPR certification. Hold a Guard Registration card.
