About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for University Advancement to spearhead the development of a comprehensive fundraising campaign, secure major gifts, and oversee the annual fund. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader, responsible for integrating fundraising throughout the institution and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve ambitious revenue goals. This role demands a highly influential individual with a best-practice mentality for data-driven donor engagement, who can lead a team to align philanthropic investments with high-impact institutional opportunities. The VP will also be tasked with building and leading a high-performing advancement team, setting and achieving strategic fundraising goals, and ensuring a culture of philanthropy is cultivated across the organization. Candidates for the VP position should be results-oriented, inclusive leaders with a proven track record in fundraising and business development. The role requires a dynamic, creative, and mission-driven individual with excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-growth, mission-focused organizations, and a strong background in managing a team in a complex, matrixed environment. They should be adept at leveraging best practices in fundraising, including major and planned gifts, and have a demonstrated passion for the institution's mission. The VP will be expected to lead by example, staying engaged with the campus community, and ensuring that the advancement team is well-equipped to meet the organization's philanthropic needs.
