This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care (RN-NICU) seeking to utilize specialized skills in a dynamic healthcare environment. Schedule/Hours:

  • D/N rotating shifts, including options for straight nights (19:30-08:00)
  • Every other weekend coverage with 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
  • Rotation cycles of either 2 or 6 weeks

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive care to neonates requiring intensive medical attention
  • Monitor vital signs and administer treatments based on physicians orders
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
  • Educate families on newborn care and provide emotional support
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare standards

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Current RN license with Neonatal Intensive Care Unit specialization
  • Proven experience in NICU nursing and neonatal critical care
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments maintaining professionalism and empathy
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with families and healthcare teams
  • Willingness to adhere to dress code requiring navy blue scrubs
